Pooneh Oshidari , Hideout 2 - Tehran. 2020. Bavan Gallery. 300 x 700 x 150 cm. This time-based project relies on one of the threats to the Anzali Lagoon’s biome, an invasive plant called Azolla. In this work, the image (artist’s self-portrait) at the floor of a clear pond gets gradually masked and concealed over several weeks by the rapid growth of the growing plants that covers the water surface and green algae and microorganisms floating in the water.
