Pooneh Oshidari , Ardeshir cistern, 2021, grown roots on fabric, 40 x 25 cm. This segment focuses on villages abandoned due to water scarcity over the past century. It tells the story of people who had no choice but to leave their birthplace in order to survive. As part of this project, I created photo collages combining wedding portraits from a century ago with images of cisterns from the same villages.
